WHAT DO I PACK FOR THE OP?
WHAT DOES A WEEK LOOK LIKE ON THE OP?
A normal week at the OP consists of work, fun and training. Each student is required to work a full time job (35-40 hr/week) while at the OP. During the evening there are rallies which will consist of fun, training, and worship. Also during the week are organized social events that are hosted by the OP where have fun in Orlando, Fl. Here is a more detailed schedule if you want to know more.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THESE TRAININGS...
One of the goals of the OP is to give each student the tools which will help them walk with God for the rest of their lives, whether that life is back to the college campus or beyond. In other words, the trainings you will receive on the OP aren't just for your time in Orlando. With this in mind, you will receive training on things such as living in community, how to study the Bible, how to talk about my faith, how to grow as a spiritual leader, and more.
We are staying at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. You will will share a room with other Orlando Project students, including a student leader who will serve as a spiritual mentor.
WHERE WILL I LIVE?
Most students have the opportunity to work at Universal Studios. Working will help you build relationships in order to share your faith, give you work experience and provide the finances for you to attend the Orlando Project. If you raise financial support for the project, you will still be required to work a full-time job.
WHERE WILL I WORK?
We are excited about students growing and developing in your career path! Students desiring to attend the OP with an internship opportunity will need to meet with the Project Director for review and approval. All jobs must fit within the mission and schedule of the OP in order for the student to maximize their experience.
